He promised to find her a good job and even suggested a special school he knew of for Debbie, who would be able to have her friends come to stay, and learn to ride his horses.

Nancy Guerrero was shocked when Sheila announced one day that she had met her “dream man,” and was moving across the country to Kansas to live on his farm. Highly skeptical, she warned her friend that it all sounded too good to be true. But Sheila refused to listen, saying “John” was the nicest man she had ever met and they had a future together.

Late one summer’s night in 1994, John Robinson arrived at the Faiths’ front door to drive them to Kansas. There was much excitement as he helped load their suitcases and Debbie’s wheelchair into the back of the white Chevrolet van. Then, police say, he drove them off into the night and they were never seen alive again.
